ago by Dan Page about Diablo 3 Since the mad rush of Diablo 3's release last night there have been thousands of people struggling to get onto Blizzard's servers. With each attempt to do so gamers are presented with a few cryptic numbers. But what do they mean? Luckily for everyone involved Blizzard have offered a helping hand in the form of information. Most users encountering problems are seeing 37 and 12. Error 37 can be translated to "The service is undergoing maintenance, please try again later." Error 12 means "the Global Play feature being disabled until all regions are active". Blizzard has advised players receiving this message http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4008631955 to make sure they choose the correct region when starting the game. Blizzard's advice in full: "If your installation disc has been ejected, please reinsert and try again. If not, or if you keep seeing this error, log in to Battle.net and install Diablo III digitally" - If you downloaded the installer digitally, this error indicates that it did not convert the files correctly. This can often be caused by closing the downloader early. Though https://www.primagames.com/games/diablo-3/news/diablo-3s-error-codes-explained the downloader may show 100%, please allow some time for it to fully complete. To resolve this issue, log into Battle.net and re-run the downloader. Error 108 - Similar to "An unexpected decryption error occurred", the error 108 can be caused by corrupted, damaged or incomplete installation files. This can often times be caused by closing the downloader early. Though the downloader may show 100%, please allow some time for it to fully complete. You may be able to fix this by running the downloader and pointing it to the same saved location so that it may scan and download any missing files. Error 12 - This error is caused by the Global Play feature being disabled until all regions are active. Please make sure you choose the correct region when starting the game as per this sticky Error 33 and 34200 - The service is undergoing maintenance, please try again later. (Please note that Diablo 3 will not be available for play until May 15 at 12:01 a.m. PDT. Error 37 - The server is full. This is likely due to high login traffic. The only solution is to keep trying to log in. Error 24000 - Once logged in you may run into this error when attempting to start a game. We're aware and are working to resolve it as quick
Battle.Net & Systems > Remnants of Error 12: The mute epidemic Discussion in 'Tech Support for Diablo 3, Battle.Net & Systems' started by CaptainDingo, Apr 27, 2012. | Replies: 0 | Views: 635 CaptainDingo IncGamers Member http://www.diabloii.net/forums/threads/remnants-of-error-12-the-mute-epidemic.827670/ Joined: Jun 28, 2008 Messages: 328 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 62 Remnants of Error 12: The mute epidemic There are many of us out there who have Error 12. I'm not talking about servers being hammered, Open Beta participants who didn't realize it had closed, or anything of the sort. Changing Battletags, passwords, etc. does nothing for our particular strain of Error 12. Here's how it came about: If you didn't participate in the Closed Beta prior to diablo 3 Open Beta, participated in the Open Beta, then after the Open Beta closed, you added a Closed Beta key to your account, congratulations, you're forever stuck under Error 12. The key is added successfully with a little green popup, and your profile information shows that, yep, you've got beta access. But when you try and log in to the game, Error 12. No license attached to your account. And if you didn't have the foresight to use the diablo 3 error forum before Open Beta was over, you can't switch to D3BETA and post in the forums. I tried to tell them via a ticket, but they told me to get technical support in the forums. I told them, I can't use the forums despite having a legit beta key tied to my account, and none of the solutions offered on the forums fix our particular strain of Error 12. Why make a big deal about this? Because we have a legitimate key (albeit Closed Beta) attached to our accounts and can't play. If this issue persists into retail (which I believe it can and will), there's going to be a small-scale launch day disaster that could have been avoided if they had just looked into the problem sooner. If my closed beta key isn't being properly detected, why would my retail key be? I fear I'll log in to Diablo 3 the day I get access and will be shown an unfixed Error 12 that should have been repaired before launch. I bring this up here because, as stated, I cannot (and 75% of people afflicted with the issue cannot) use the Diablo 3 forums, but also because I know a lot of you can and might be able to convince blues to get in contact with those of us who have the problem to try and straighten it out before the game launch
