has been reported. I have received a Packard Bell laptop to repair. On startup the following comes up "A disk read error a disk read error occurred windows 10 has occurred. Press ctl+alt+del to restart. On restart I have tried pressing F8 to enter safe mode, F2 to enter the bios and other function keys to try to enter any recovery options but the windows 10 disk read error same error still comes up. On the screen which displays info re bios version and cpu etc it states "Channel 2 Master : Hitachi HT--------- Channel 3 Master : Optiarc DVD RW AD-75---" My intial impressions are that it may be trying to boot from the DVD RW but I can't enter the bios to check the boot order. Any further idea's welcome. Gary Reports: · Posted 5 years ago

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. However, the BIOS detected the hard drive just fine.
