read error ^_^User Info: ownie35ownie35 7 years ago#1 I have 2 hard drives, 2 Xbox's. Neither of them can run this game at all. Very first time I played it, 5 minutes in? 5 Disc error. Turn it a disk read error occurred press ctrl+alt+del to restart back on, disc read error. Disc is unreadable. Tried it on my other Xbox, same problem. Tried it on another hard drive, same problem. Cleared my cache every single time, nothing. Tried to install it to both hard drives, and "Cannot Read This Disc" pops up both times I try. I return the copy for another one, Rinse and Repeat above steps. How EA continues to get away with this BS is beyond me, as it happens disk read error windows 7 to many people *every* year this series comes out, and they never attempt to resolve the issue. Contacting tech support about it gets you no where quickly, they refuse to acknowledge the problem exists. Is there ANYWAY to fix this damn problem besides buying 50 copies of it until one of them is finally made right and not by the Grade 10 students they employ at EA?Beyond Grim.User Info: XxPika740xXXxPika740xX 7 years ago#2inb4 "Baaaaaaaawwwww!"Whining about this and blaming EA for everything isn't going to help you.Jumping on the EA hate bandwagon doesn't really make much sense.EA did a lot for the NHL series, it's probably their best series. Just for the sake of it, how old are the 360s? If they're old I'd say the disk might be too thick (Brawl issue), I noticed the disks are much thicker than 09.http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/3924/rre.gifhttp://img268.imageshack.us/img268/9027/259v.gifUser Info: athomas28athomas28 7 years ago#3Is it possible you're just a moron? I've owned every single EA hockey game since their iception and have NEVER... EVER had a single problem with them. The simplest answer is usually correct. You can lay the blame on some hardware or coding issue, crap on a company that sinks millions into development and blame them....or... could it be you, just one person, are retarded?User Info: Smojphace303Smojphace303 7 years ago#4or he could just take it back to the shop and get a refund. an

Me and my bro just got back from the Rangers' game and tried out the game and we didn't even get passed the opening menu where you put in your player name. Plus the disc is making a clicking noise when it loads up, so I'm assuming its a faulty disc. Yes, because a CD making a loud clicking noise is something that should happen anyway. Reply With Quote Synergy38 View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message View Forum T& more! View My Profile Disc Unreadable? I literally just bought NHL 09 today, and after about 3 hours of gameplay (A couple quick play games, created a goalie and a winger, and started my Be A Pro mode), the wonderful "The disc is unreadable"-message came up. I was like, "What the hell?" So I just thought it might have been the fact that my Xbox has been on for a while. I turned it off, did some stuff, and came back only to find out that it does the same thing at the same exact point; right when I open up my Be A Pro mode. At this point, I'm pissed. I call Gamestop and he asked me if the game had some burned ring around the middle or outside of the disc. Too bad for him, the answer was no. The game is spotless, prestine, and couldn't look any better (I know. I'm OCD.). So, for shits and giggles, I put all of my other games in to see if they were doing the same thing. Nothing.
