Visual Studio Languages , Windows Desktop Development > Visual C++ Question 0 Sign in to vote Hi, I got an error as denoted in subject. Is there anyone help me resolve the problem? Thanks. Here is my environment: =========================== OS: windows 2003 standard http://www.dlldownloader.com/coredll-dll/ sp2 IDE: VS 2005 profectional APP: windows MFC =========================== Wednesday, July 11, 2007 12:10 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote This is very unlikely to be related to a manifest problem. Could you give us the exact error message you see? I take it, it is a message from the OS program loader. In that case, you'd have a dependency on coredll.dll somewhere in the static imports graph. https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/4c5dcb4d-9da7-4408-afea-11b713311abc/cannot-find-coredlldll-why?forum=vcgeneral Depends.exe should help you to understand the graph. Assuming the static import is directly in your exe, you can take a look at the output of /VERBOSE linking. It should tell you why an import library for coredll.dll is selected. -hg Monday, July 16, 2007 4:11 PM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote What do you do to get this error? But it seems not start up and ask me to install the app again to solve the problem. Thursday, July 12, 2007 12:44 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote If I remember correctly, coredll.dll is a runtime dll for one of the windows smart device /pda environments like windows CE. This dll is not found on normal windows platforms so I think what you have is a smart devicve project that is meant to be run on a pda or in the smart device emulator. Thursday, July 12, 2007 6:06 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote This is the problem that confuse me. My app is just a normal windows program. I do not set it for smart device. The project is upgraded from VS 2003. There is no problem

Are you sure the program you're running is compatible with Windows XP? –Roger Rowland Jun 6 '13 at 12:55 So, I was reading about this "dll" and I saw that is for mobile systems. I did two tests on a computer with WinXP test (Ok) and on another computer Win7 and WinXP, occurs this error. I need to run some software models in Portico, was using version 1.0.2, now I'm testing the new version 2.0. The Portico support said that the problem was related to the lack of Microsoft Visual Studio redistributable, but I installed. –David Jun 6 '13 at 13:08 add a comment| active oldest votes Know someone who can answer?
