My app crashes when I add the (2) code from this answer and @override onExceededDatabaseQuota gives me this logcat error error: method does not override or implement a method from a supertype So I just removed the @override part and the error went away, but the other error is still there. javascript android database html5 android-webview share|improve this question edited Jan 25 at 16:14 Rowland Shaw 29k665122 asked Jan 25 at 14:16 Хаснайн Ланиф 12 1 refer stackoverflow.com/questions/16062591/… –sasikumar Jan 25 at 14:19 add a comment| active oldest votes Know someone who can answer? I really appreciate the work that goes into PouchDB. Working with it has been great so far. I've had one major issue with it so far, though. I am using PouchDB 3.2.1 on a web application targeted for Chrome on iOS. The below error also appears in PouchDB dom exception 18 3.2.0. When trying to create a connection to a local database on Chrome on iOS, PouchDB uses that browser's WebSQL database. This, however, fails intermittently with SecurityError: DOM Exception 18 when running the application on both iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. I have not been able to reproduce this error on my iPad 5 yet. I am creating a new PouchDB database as follows: var localDBName = "dbd8008497c6f368d"; self.localPouch = new PouchDB(localDBName, {size: 50}); I have also tried setting size to 49, 1, and 0 and not setting size at all. provided with sencha touch 2.1 and it works great as long as I use it in a browser. I tested it on the native browser of my Asus transformer tablet. As soon as I package my application in native, I get an error when I try to access webSql database throw the proxy: 01-05 21:35:47.020: E/Web Console(9939): Uncaught Error: SECURITY_ERR: DOM Exception 18 at file:///android_asset/app.js:66393 My tablet is working on android 4.0.3. Is there something I can do to make the SQL proxy works on a native application ? Thanks hubsencha15 Jan 2013, 6:37 PMHi all, I'm using the new sql proxy provided with sencha touch 2.1 and it works great as long as I use it in a browser. Thanks Same problem here on simulator and smartphone android. :(( bstrappazzon16 Jan 2013, 1:52 AMSame problem here on simulator and smartphone android. :(( Nice to see that I'm not alone with this problem. I think that this issue may be related to the webView used by sencha native packaging. I think that it is not configure to accept webSql database or it simply cannot use webSql because android 4 webView does not allow it. Maybe an android expert can confirm that? I solve this issue by packaging the application with Phonegap and use https://github.com/brodyspark/PhoneGap-sqlitePlugin-Android to persist my data. This is not what I wanted to do first. I would prefer to perform a full sencha build. shepsii16 Jan 2013, 2:25 AMYou should be able to use websql without the sqlite phonegap plugin on native. I was fine using phonegap, without that plugin, when I was working with my own proxy. Perhaps try creating the database with a lower amount of memory? 5mb worked for me. Having said that, I'm reverting to saving json files locally and overwriting them with updates because in my e
