Callum Whenever an error occurs, e.g. a crash in photoshop dumprep uses almost 100% of my cpu and my pc will not respond correctly until i end the process. Tried to delete it but just seems to appear from nowhere. Seems like everytime my computer locks up, dumprep.exe opens up. Closing it unfreezes the system. What is worse, I have noticed several different instances of the version resident in my memory long after their use - and they SIGNIFICANTLY slow down my speed. I just go to the Windows Task Manager and kill these sessions. This ALWAYS improves my performance/speed very noticeably. An application expert, not system-pro. Slows down my computer as hell, and seems to corrupt iexplore.exe using it for an unknown purpose it prepares a huge dump; it's ver

Don't know the "file name" or how to find out the file name but checked here on bc site under the start up list and it says its a w/32 codox-A or Backdoor win 32 Agent.cxf malware. All I see in my start up list per the items there are : Startup Item, then Command then location, not a "file Name" so not sure. Avast did find a couple HUGE files the other day that were: superantispyware.exe.hdmp files. I was told just to delete them for they are just error report dump files. That's what made me catch this dumprep in my start up just now while checking it out. Related perhaps? What should I do now , I unchecked it, is that sufficient? I am somewhat computer challenged when it comes to " fix its" and if I have to go into my registry I think I better hire a pro. Any good places on the net that do "remote" check out and fixes, reasonably? Not too many good computer repair places near me. I have windows xp, run avast antivirus, SAS and MBAM , MBAM is not picking up on any malware. Any other quick and easy checks I can access online to check my computer ou
