and then make note of what exactly the error means. I currently have a user who is getting error "e002000a Endpoint Encryption disk information not present". What does that mean and how is it resolved? 9953Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 8 replies 1. Good Luck ozmaan May 4, 2009 7:34 AM (in response to aggiewars) I have been asking for a more robust endpoint encryption error unsupported encryption algorithm guide to the error codes since deploying SafeBoot and have met with little success. I keep telling the support staff how useful it would be and all the time and aggravation it would save everyone.Unfortunately, despite my company having shelled out money for platinum support, I am doing exactly what you are doing...taking notes every time I solve a problem. As for your specific error, I've seen that one before, and if I remember correctly, it means that there is some corruption that makes SafeBoot unable to read the disk info. I'm pretty sure I've had to reimage all machines that show this error. Good Luck. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. RE: Good Luck mrgui May 4, 2009 6:25 PM (in response to ozmaan) It could also be that a USB card reader or USB stick is in the machine. Version 5.1.3 (and others, I'm sure) would attempt to encrypt removable media. This issue was fixed in B5420 (i think) and above.Another thing to check, would be partitions mounted as folders. What does EEPC error mean? What does EEPC error mean?Causes of the EEPC corruptionHow to avoid the eepc has been corrupted error?Too late, what to do?According to McAfee, the “EEPC has endpoint encryption been corrupted” error displays when you restart a client system after you upgrade Endpoint Encryption for PC (EEPC) from any version earlier than 5.1.7 to EEPC 5.2.12. You may also encounter the SafeBoot has been corrupted error 92h, however, there is no need to worry; this guide will also fix the SafeBoot has been corrupted error 92h. Causes of the EEPC corruptionOnly EEPC 5.1.7 and later are supported to upgrade directly to EEPC 5.2.12. The endpoint encryption error sporadic nature of this issue is related to the amount of low memory (below 640K) that is available in the BIOS and whether the system has a BIOS that allows installing additional disk extensions in low memory. Some of these BIOS extensions occupy the top part of low memory just below 640K. Because the EEPC boot code loads into low memory, it can overwrite those BIOS disk extensions if it is too large. This causes disk access to fail with the 92h error above. In some cases, the system may become unresponsive. How to avoid the eepc has been corrupted error? The upgrade fails with EEPC 5.2.12 and later because the bootcode in EEPC 5.2.12 is too large for the sectors reserved by the SbClientManager in EEPC versions earlier than EEPC 5.1.7. To avoid corrupting your Endpoint Encryption for PC (EEPC) interface McAfee advises that you first upgrade to a version of EEPC later than 5.1.7 (including EEPC 5.2.11) before you upgrade to EEPC 5.2.12. If however you already updated with an unsupported version Mcafee offers a simple solution to the issue.Too late, what to do?If you are already trying to fix the eepc has been corrupted error, McAfee advises that you perform an emergency boot using WinTech or SafeTech.
