I'm getting this error every time I do a backup. Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\My Scans. Error:(The https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-US/119691 system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002)) By inspecting the system folder "\systemprofile\" it doesn't look like that it is a place for that type of folder/files I do have a folder named My Scans located on error 0x80070002 my User folder. next to My pictures, My music, My documents and My videos, which are the subject files of the backup. Apparently it backs up everyfile except for that folder and all it's files. How do I fix whatever it's missing? Reports: · Posted 6 years ago Top StringJunky Posts: 2454 This post has been reported. Hi Have you tried taking the stuff out of My Scans then deleting that folder and the system cannot then make a new one called Scans (give it a slightly different name) and put your stuff back in it. What I did was to move My Scans to My Pictures. And then the backup went perfect. Apparently it was backing up only the files in the libraries (doscs, picts and vids) the strange thing is that despite that My scans was included in the Pictures library, the backup program didn't back it up until physically it was a subfolder of My Pictures. (!?) So, now it is working, but I insist it should be able to backup anything that is is the library regardless of where the folder and files are phisically located. Thanks. . Article ID: 119691 Updated: 28 Jan 2015 5 people found this helpful Available in: English | Español | Italiano | 日本語 | Français | Deutsch Issue After attempting to deploy Sophos endpoint software to a computer the following error is reported to the console. 80070002 The installation could not be started: The system cannot find the file specified. The computer may need additional configuration before installation. First seen in Enterprise Console 5.0.0 Cause When you deploy from the console to an endpoint computer you are creating a scheduled task on that endpoint computer. That scheduled task calls, for example, \\servername\SophosUpdate\CIDs\S000\SAVSCFXP\setup.exe. If the path to the setup.exe file is unavailable the error code '80070002' and error message 'The system cannot find the file specified' are returned to the console. What To Do Confirm the full path to the share exists. You can do this by looking at the Update Manager subscription the endpoint computer is using. With the subscription identified, locate the full path to the share from the console by selecting 'View' | 'Bootstrap Locations'. Alternatively you can look at the scheduled task while it is running on the endpoint. When you know the path the scheduler task is attempting to access confirm that the path exists. Yo
