Ashampoo is the better of the two you listed so that is what I'd suggest you use unless you don't like it for some reason. Also, when enabling/disabling a firewall always follow that with a reboot or in some cases your action will not be "active". Also verify your firewall permissions as stated in this http://free.avg.com/ww.faq.num-1334. The following will help with routing table issues... 1. Turn off the computer. 2. Turn off any router or hub that your computer may be plugged into. 3. Turn off the cable/dsl modem. 4. Wait for a couple of minutes. 5. Turn on the cable/dsl modem. 6. Wait for a couple of minutes. 7. Turn on any router or hub that your computer may be plugged into. 8. Wait for a couple of minutes. 9. Finally turn back on your computer. Help! by Landrover55 / April 25, 2012 9:57 PM PDT I have used AGV 12 since issued. One incoming (unrequested) email from iTunes timed at 00.27 on Thursday 25th April downloads itself repeatedly and system stops showing "downloading 3 of (an increasing number!)" and 0800cc0f appears plus narrative about server interupting connection etc. I have restored systen to an earlier date; no difference. I have turned AVG antivirus off (and back on). I am unable to receive any emails but can send normally. My service provider is btinternet. Their automatic "help and problem checker" detects that that there is a problem. On clicking "Fix" it runs through its checks and then says it has "fixed it" (which it hasn't!) Any help very welcom
