I'm not very knowledgeable https://vox.veritas.com/t5/Backup-Exec/Error-1004-A-timeout-occurred-waiting-for-NDMPD-NLM-to/td-p/302343 when it comes to Novell either so please bear with me. Here is my situation: On Tuesday April 13th I upgraded our Netware 6.5 Support Pack 7 to Support Pack 8. Prior to doing this out Back up exec v9.10.1158 was working perfectly. Upgrade went fine. Restarted the server, do not have bestart automatically load at startup. After verifying everything loaded correctly after the support update typed version and it showed Support Pack = 8. I then typed bestart and got the SureStart Console and got the Error 1004 timeout on NDMPD.nlm. I then was able to do a bestop and then typed bestart -!X only to get a different screen and then the server locked up and I had to perform a hard shutdown. Last night (April 15th) I shut down the server, reinstalled v9.10 over the top and entered bestart only to get the same message. I rebooted again and have installed v9.2 and have not typed anything yet. Does anyone know how I can fix this error? I haven't backed up for 3 days now. Any help is greatly appreciated! error.jpg 136 KB Labels: Backup and Recovery Backup Exec 0 Kudos Reply Contact Privacy Policy
