Hitting a remote print Queue (running on a 32-bit Windows print Server) won't make a difference, since the print Driver would

still be that of your local (64-bit) system. Installing 32-bit print drivers on a 64-bit system only applies to print sharing, so that won't help. Your best bet is to try Johan's suggestion, and use a Generic PCL5 or Generic PostScript driver within StreamServe, and bypass the device-specific Windows print driver. The only release supporting 2008 server is Persuasion 5.4R2. This release is supported on Windows 2008R2, not the earlier 2008(R1). The servers got installed before being handed over to me. I am/was just hoping to find users who are using the same setup with positive experiences and solutions to my problem.Still have a bit of hope I won't have to reinstall to windows 2003-32bit Regards, Erik Friday 22 October, 2010 Johan Steneby 1 likes Hi Erik, I think the only way to solve this is to not use a Windows driver for your printer connector from Str

(C++, WinAPI) Windows Desktop Development > General Windows Desktop Development Issues Question 0 Sign in to vote I am writing an installer which has to create a directory where the common files for all users have to reside including a non-SQL-server database (by default named "C:\MyAppName" but of course user selectable). When the installer runs on Vista, it has been granted admin rights as usual, but the subsequent users normally do not have the rights to write into this directory. Thus, I need something like a function (using C++, Win32 API, no MFC) to call within my installer:BOOL /* or whatever return value */ WINAPI SetDirectoryAccessRights( __in LPCTSTR lpPathName, __in XXYYZZ_ATTRIBUTES xxyyzzAttributes // allowing some value XXYYZZ_FULL_ACCESS);which also should not cause any special deployment requirements for using the installer on Win2000 and WinXP.Where do I have to look for? I am currently wondering if sync from the device is kicking in and locking the folder, but I need to review my system logs before I'll know any more. I don't think it is sync kicking in as I have been watching my device to see if that has been the case but I have had to manually press the sync button on all my devices in order to get any of my episodes to sync. It does not seem to be starting on it's own as it used to in older versions. This also makes me wonder if that is not what is causing the breakage. Maybe the server is sending the device a command to sync the files but the device is not getting the command or failing to run this command and this is triggering a fault and causing the conversion to stop. I have not looked at logs to confirm this, as your comment just made me think of it. I will check this later today and update. 0 importality Posts: 6Members, Plex Pass Plex Pass January 25 @marauder24 said: I have not looked at logs to confirm this, as your comment just made me think of it. Thanks, between us I'm sure we'll work something out, though I have to admit this is starting to feel more like workarounds than the simplistic "it just works" functionality that I have become accustomed to with Plex. 0 marauder24 Posts: 15Members, Plex Pass Plex Pass January 25 edited January 25 This time it was able to finally get past 15 episodes (which was the max it would do for the last 3 days) and was able to do 35/172 before it finally stopped.
