does not exist occurs when trying to start MQ Error number 1008 message attempt to reference a token that does not exist start WMQ Logon as a batch job DCOM event 10004 Failure audit 534 Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) You are seeing Windows Error 1008 when trying to start the WebSphere MQ Service Diagnosing the problem The Windows system event log shows the following errors: DCOM event 10004: DCOM got error "Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer. "and was unable to logon XXXXXXR\svc_websphere in order to run the server: {4576E163-FA1A-11D1-ABB8-0004ACF79B59} and, in the security event log: Failure audit, event 534 Logon Failure: Reason: The user has not been granted the requested logon type at this machine User Name: svc_websphere Domain: DOMAINXXXX Logon Type: 4 Logon Process: DCOMSCM Resolving the problem Logon type 4 equates to "Logon as a batch job". This means that MQ is configured so that its DCOM object (not the service) is running under domain id svc_websphere. This id does not have the effective permissions of "logon as a batch job". Please note that even if you grant the permissions on this box, they may be overridden by domain wide user rights, so you need to ensure that the permissions are in effect. The user rights needed for MQ's DCOM object are documented here: User rights required for AMQMSRVN Historical Number 04230 122 000 Product Alias/Synonym WMQ MQ Document information More support for: WebSphere MQ Security Software version: 7.0, 7.1 Operating system(s): Windows Reference #: 1382178 Modified date: 2009-08-27 Site availability Site assistance Contact and feedback Need support?
