Join them; it only takes a minute: Sign up node js “(10107) A System call has failed” up vote 0 down vote favorite I installed node in windows using node msi installer. everything was working, few days later, i run node in command prompt and i get the message as "socket: (10107) A system call has failed". And it seems to be a bugger. It will disconnect your computer from the Internet by stopping or blocking the DHCP client or causing a failure in the Windows socket function. Restoring your system to an earlier date seems to repair the dis function of the Winsock which will automatically start your DHCP client which allows you to connect to the Internet.
