What I did was remove the shell from the black base, cleaned the goop from under the ink cartridges, put silicon on the bars after cleaning with alcahol, greased the gears sparingly, put it back together, it works. There are eight black and one shinny screw that need tobe removed, also a white bar with a violet gismo, pull that up to remove, and the paper guides. Live long and prosper and sleep well.
