I see several posts regarding the Evo 4g LTE and a couple of references to the error but some posts are older and others don't have a definitive solution. The latest posts indicate this phone is now supported. Is this something that can be resolved on the forum or will it require a call into customer support? iPhone Windows Windows Phone Windows 8 Windows RT Forum Android Apple Microsoft Marketplace Tip Us Site Map About Latest HTC One update causes big headaches for lots of Sprint users 31 John Freml December 19, 2013 Android, Features, Good and EVO Yesterday the HTC One on Sprint received an OTA update to 3.05.651.5, which supposedly fixed the invalid alert message after inserting a SIM card correctly, and included some HD voice improvements. However, the response of many Sprint customers has been, “Yeah, right.” Pocketables has been getting lots of bug reports from users regarding this update, including an inability to update the PRL or Profile. Instead, people who try to do this manually get  error code 1233. Additionally, many are reporting that “No SIM card” error messages persist after this update, although for some it seems to take a few hours before this message shows up again. On a positive note, we are getting reports that 4G signal strength seems a bit better for some people, but this could either be a placebo affect or the result of Sprint’s constant network improvements. At this point, it’s too early to tell if the new radios really make much of a difference in this area. What has your experience with this update been like? Have anything new to add? Let us know below! About the Author John Freml is the editor-in-chief at Pocketables. His articles generally focus on all things Google, including Chrome and Android, although his love of new gadgets and technology doesn't stop there. His current arsenal includes the Nexus 6 by Motorola, the 2013 Nexus 7 by ASUS, the Nexus 9 by HTC, the LG G Watch, and the Chromebook Pixel, among others. Someone needs to figure out what they are doing. Paying the money we pay for these phones and and service. This stuff should work out of the box Luis Berrios I hope this new update for the HTC EVO doesn’t ruin anything. Cause that would suck. Scott I think the PRL/Profile errors may be just a coincidence, as I tried to update them before doing the update and got the error as wel
