A file with this name already exists. Please rename or remove the file and click Retry, or click Cancel to exit. Important: Do not close the error message. To resolve this issue: Set your Microsoft Windows view to display hidden files and folders: Microsoft Windows 10 Click the Windows Start icon. Choose File Explorer. Go to the View tab and click on Options. Select Changes Folder & search options. Go to the View tab. Select Show Hidden Files, Folder and Drives; if it's not already selected. Click OK. Close the File Explorer window. Microsoft Windows 7 or Vista Click the Windows Vista logo (Start button) and select Control Panel. Click Appearance and Personalization. Under Folder Options, click Show hidden files and folders. The Folder options window opens with the View tab selected. Select the Show hidden files and folders option. Click Apply, and then click OK. Close the Control Panel. Microsoft Windows XP Click the Windows Start button and select Control Panel. Double-click Folder Options. Click the View tab. Under Hidden files and folders, select the Show hidden files and folders option. When the confirmation message appears, click Yes. Click Apply, and then click OK. Close the Control Panel. Find the folder named in the error message: Microsoft Windows 7 or Vista: Click the Windows Vista logo (Start button), enter the folder name given in the error message in the Search box, and press Enter. Microsoft Windows XP: Click the Windows Start button and select Search. Enter the folder name given in the error message and press Enter. All the OO programs work just fine with any MS Office files. Are you receiving any errors at all when the computer freezes? Are there any entries in the Event Viewer when you try to install? You can get there by going to Start -? Run and typing eventvwr.msc Then look under both System and Application.
