Re: Error 1500 LeoAdobeX Aug 22, 2012 11:31 AM (in response to charleslumsden) Is this error message references "Another installation is in progress.."?If that is the case, you have to wait while another installation is finished or stop it.Most likely case is Windows Update. You can try to restart the system or chage Windows Update preferences to turn off automatic updates temporarily, Install Reader and change Windows Update preferences back. I already error 1500 another had v.7 installed and working. Now I cannot use either. When I try to open 8.1 from the start menu, It starts setup. If I try repair or remove, I get the error message 1500---"Another installation is in progress, complete this first". I do not have another installation running, so I am stuck. V.7 seems to be disabled also. If I try to use the setup files for this, I get the same error message. I have tried on and off several times, even after a Windows restore for a week previous, the error stills arises. What can I do to install it? Any help would be appreciated.
