You may need to try some or all of the suggested solutions, depending on your system. Solution Many of these solutions are from the InstallShield article Q108340 available at http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108340. If you are installing StarSQL from a local drive other than the C: drive or a network drive, copy the installation source files to the local C: drive and run the setup.exe from that installation source directory. Ensure that no other applications, installations, or processes are running in the background. You may need to temporarily disable or close anti-virus software.
