Although I did search for my problem both on http://androidforums.com/threads/install-error-18-on-installin-angry-birds.314255/ this forum and the net I couldn't find anyone with similar issues. Nonetheless I apologise if this is asked a million times already: I had installed lost of apps on http://www.droidforums.net/threads/downloads-stopping-at-100-unknown-error-18.134455/ my HTC Desire. When the new Angry Birds Rio came in the market I tried to install it but I got a message "Installation error Unkwnown reason -18". Now I've error 18 been trying to find what this means but without succes. I checked if the option to install apps from other sources than the Android market was enabled and it was (although this shouldn't make a difference as I downloaded it from the market). Then I tried to reset the phone to factory settings and try again but I get the same error code 18 error message on all attempts. It only happens when I try to install one of the Angry Birds games and not with any other app or programm I want to install (at least up till now). Hope to hear from anyone soon. . . I just searched "Unknown 18" and found that. Apr 8, 2011 #2 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.) Show Ignored Content Share This Page Tweet Loading... Sometimes if I go back to the application on the market it'll install but sometimes ill have to redownload multiple times until it works. Also, sometimes ill get an installation error with the error code -18 on some apps and I can never install them, even on updates. For instance Angry Birds downloaded fine but when it updates it gets an error and I can't get it installed. Anyone have any idea why this is happening and how to fix it? Thanks!
