It does not indicate an error. See execmgr.log if the client was able to kick off the vbscript later on (within the next few lines). If you need to run a script, just include the script in the package and run it using the local cscript that is already installed on the host. Thus your command-line would simply be something like this: cscript.exe myscript.vbs cscript is already in the path on the local system so you don't have to specify an absolute path for it.Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/jsandys/default.aspx | Twitter @JasonSandys Thursday, October 08, 2009 2:42 PM Reply | Quote Moderator 1 Sign in to vote I see this message quite often in execmgr.log (even when just using "cscript.exe myscript.vbs" as the program's command line; ConfigMgr always adds that directory in front of the executable). Your data source contains your vbs file "\\server\sharename!" Your command line is your vbs file "x.vbs" Remember to update distribution points Remember to advertise the program To run your script by itself - you dont need a Package Source, you just need a program and the script to be accessible on the network So create package but dont include a source Edit the program command line as "cmd.exe /c "\\server\sharename\x.vbs"" Remember you dont need a distribution point as there is no source folders Remeber to Advertise the program cheers Mark S.. 1 LVL 4 Overall: Level 4 MS Server OS 3 MS Applications 1 Message Expert Comment by:fr0nk2010-12-13 you have to invoke cmd.exe /C cscript to be sure 0 Message Author Comment by:garrywebb2010-12-14 thank you so much for expert help!
