Advertisement hlaskin Thread Starter Joined: Apr 1, 2006 Messages: 34 Whenver I attempt to do a Detect and Repair in Outlook 2003 or any of my software associated with Office Proffesional 2003, I receive the following error message: Error 1919 configuring ODBC data source: MS Access Database, ODBC error 6: Component not found in the registry. Verify that the file MSAccess Database exists and that you can access it. I can and do use MSAccess software. I am not quite certain how to verify that the file MSAccess Datasbase exists. Other than that, are there any fixes for this error? hlaskin, Nov 25, 2009 #1 Sponsor Zack Barresse Joined: Jul 25, 2004 Messages: 5,450 You could try re-installing the applications. Your files will be untouched. And I recommend a full/complete install. Zack Barresse, Nov 25, 2009 #2 hlaskin Thread Starter Joined: Apr 1, 2006 Messages: 34 Do you suggestion that I completely uninstall Office Pro 2003 and re-install or just re-install over the existing applications? hlaskin, Nov 25, 2009 #3 Zack Barresse Joined: Jul 25, 2004 Messages: 5,450 I would, yes. Your files will be fine. Any add-ins will need to be reinstalled. I have attempted to export two files from another computer (source) from the registry and import them to the computer (target) where I am having an issue with ODBC error 1919. The first file imported correctly. The second file I receive the following error message in the registry editor: Cannot Import C:\ODBC Not all data was successfully written to the registry. Some Keyes are open by the system or other processes. (HOW DO I CLOSE THESE KEYS SO THAT I CAN IMPORT THE ODBC file?) hlaskin, Nov 27, 2009 #5 OBP Trusted Advisor Joined: Mar 8, 2005 Messages: 19,078 Have you tried this Microsoft fix? http://support.microsoft.com
