Error 1935 Adobe Acrobat Xi Pro
5.5, CS5, or CS4 application When you install a Creative Suite 4, 5, or 5.5 product, one of the following errors appears in your installation log file: Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component Microsoft.VC80.CRT Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {43CC1B37-B20C-3EBC-9C04-F809989E4FD3}. HRESULT: 0x80070BC9. Solutions Solution 1: Restart the computer. Restart your system and begin the Creative Suite product installation again. Solution 2: Uninstall and reinstall the .NET Framework. Sometimes, the 1935 error results from orphaned registry keys from a different version of the .NET Framework than the one being installed. Try uninstalling the .NET frameworks, removing orphaned registry keys that remain, and then reinstalling the .NET Framework. Disclaimer: This procedure involves modifying the Windows registry. Adobe doesn't provide support for problems caused by improperly modifying the registry, which contains critical information about your system's hardware and software. Before

You would think once I'm unable to load the Acrobat XI (after uninstalling Acrobat 9.5.4), I would no longer have the ability to reinstall 9.5.4. Could someone please help me with this issue--I've been working on it for about a week now, AND due to the time it took me to load Windows 7, (with STIGS, IAVMS, SECURITY PATCHES, PROGRAMS) reloading the OS is not an option. Good luck! account only takes a few minutes. Join Now I have incorporated the Adobe Reader X msi into a GPO and successfully deployed this update to about half the machines on my network. On a few, I have noticed that the install fails, giving me the "Error 1935". I have even tried going back into those machines and running the exe with "Run as Administrator"...no luck. I have also tried these steps: Open an Administrator command prompt: Right-click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator. Click Allow for the elevation prompt In the command prompt, type the command below: fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\ The line above assumes that C: is the drive in which Vista is installed. If it is installed on another drive like D:, change the drive letter appropriately. Restart the system. Install Acrobat or Adobe Reader again. No luck! The only thing I can do is to reinstall Reader 9.3. I am wondering if this also had to do with Windows 7 SP1 install that was pushed by WSUS. Thoughts? Thank you. SP1 or not has made no difference here. There must be something that is different on the ones that succeed and the ones that fail? UAC? Any other Adobe products installed? or not? anyone with Acrobat pro? Have you tried logging in as a local admin and installing? (all of our users are local admins) Just tossing out a couple of suggestions. 0 Sonora OP LucasAHall Mar 10, 2011 at 3:04 UTC All of my users are local admins as well. Machine configurations are the same. The two that are having issues are Windows Ent7. I checked other identical Ent7 machines the adobe reader installed with no problem. I am wondering if SP1 for Win7 has anything to do with it. 0 Cayenne OP Rune3280 Mar 10, 2011 at 3:07 UTC I just installed two new machines with SP1 today and they both got X without a hitch. Just as the ones that got X prior to SP1. They were both 64 bit Pro machines though. I do not deploy SP1 though 0 Jalapeno OP Achmeddie Mar 17, 2011 at 7:05 UTC YMMV but usually when I have had problems deploying Reader/Flash via GPO it's due to orphaned Registry entries - first try to manually uninstall any versions in Add/Remove Programs (if applicable), then check HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products
