Found Fix for Internal Error 2738 Install Error Started by Sweaty Bullitts , Mar 17 2007 09:27 PM Please log in to reply 5 replies to this topic #1 Sweaty Bullitts Sweaty Bullitts Rookie Members 14 posts Posted 17 March 2007 - 09:27 PM Found this in a MSDN forum:Jamie Hollingworth Hi, found the problem. Vista for some reason dosnt register VBScript. What you have to do is first of all find where vbscript.dll is, mine was in C:\Windows\System32, but I think it changes dependant on your version. Next you need to go to start -> accessories and the right click on command prompt and click "run as administrator", next type "cd C:\Windows\System32" (replace the dir if its differnt for you) and then type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll". It should then confirm that vbscript has been registered and everything should work. This will fix a few installs, i found the same problem with itunes as well. Hope this helps,Cheers,JamesWorked for me!Sweaty Back to top #2 walkermore walkermore Newbie Members 1 posts Posted 27 March 2010 - 12:19 AM sounds good to me Back to top #3 Brendon Brendon Digiital Guru Digital Guru -8,380,569 posts Gender:Male Location:Christchurch, N.Z.
