I get halfway through the final install process when an error message comes up: "Internal Error 2738". I know it has something to do with the VBScript. So error 2738 far, I have tried everything I could find, except changing the registry. I would love to know if there is something else I can do before I go doing something that could potentially ruin my computer. I have backed it up on my external hard-drive and I am willing to try just about anything. I need this software for my studio internal error 2738 class, and I need it ASAP! Thank you!Emily K. That said, have you tried this? http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=15102758&linkID=9240617 And, if that doesn't work, this: http://upandready.typepad.com/up_and_ready/2011/07/error-2738-installation-could-not-access-vbscript-run-time-for-custom-action.html The Registry entries that it directs you to remove seem unlikely to kill Windows. If you're worried about it, export them before you delete them. You can re-insert them later if there's a problem. (It's easier than a full Registry backup.) Found Fix for Internal Error 2738 Install Error Started by Sweaty Bullitts , Mar 17 2007 09:27 PM Please log in to reply 5 replies to this topic #1 Sweaty Bullitts Sweaty Bullitts Rookie Members 14 posts Posted 17 March 2007 - 09:27 PM Found this in a MSDN forum:Jamie Hollingworth Hi, found the problem. Vista for some reason dosnt register VBScript. What you have to do is first of all find where vbscript.dll is, mine was in C:\Windows\System32, but I think it changes dependant on your version. Next you need to go to start -> accessories and the right click on command prompt and click "run as administrator", next type "cd C:\Windows\System32" (replace the dir if its differnt for you) and then type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll". It should then confirm that vbscript has been registered and everything should work. This will fix a few installs, i found the same problem with itunes as well. Hope this helps,Cheers,JamesWorked for me!Sweaty Back to top #2 walkermore walkermore Newbie Members 1 posts Posted 27 March 2010 - 12:19 AM sounds good to me Back to top #3 Brendon Brendon Digiital Guru Digital Guru -8,380,546 posts Gender:Male Location:Christchurch, N.Z.
