be in my home folder and so I changed it in the etc/apache2/sites-available/000-default.conf When I did that I just get the forbidden message. I set the new folder permissions to 777 but still get forbidden. I even put an index.html file in the new directory that just says hello world but nothing still. Here is my 000-default.conf file.

So I went along with this guide: http://www.maketecheasier.com/install-and-configure-apache-in-ubuntu/2011/03/09 (I did everything from "configuring different sites") as I http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17636389/apache2-virtualhost-403-forbidden like the solution more. Here's what I did: Installed apache2, mysql etc.. copied /etc/apache2/sites-avaliable/default to /etc/apache2/sites-available/afflicto. then edited it, it now looks like the following: /etc/apache2/sites-available/afflicto

Do I need to manually create the error 403 apache "http" user and/or add it to some group?
