I have checked the settings 5 times, even uninstalled and reinstalled…rebooted the phone…nothing helps. Reply URL 1 Mike Mc. ● 2 years ago Hi Marc, The 403 is an Authentication Error. Your server will not authenticate the mobile client, for some reason. Does your VoIP provider allow you to connect multiple devices to the account? Have you tried disabling the x-lite account, waiting, then trying the account on the phone? Have you contacted your VoIP provider about the issue? Reply URL 1 Mike Mc. ● 2 years ago Please keep your responses here, as this is your support post. If you get a 403 when calling, your VoIP provider is denying the call. You may need to enter Outbound Proxy or Auth Name information in the Account Advanced settings. They should https://support.counterpath.com/topic/getting-a-403-error be able to tell you precisely why they are denying the call. Reply URL 1 Jacob S. ● 2 years ago Thank you Mike Mc. 2 more questions and that might be it for today. 1- Does the app need to be open (and on) at all times or if I don't have the app open and that phone number (business) rings then it will 'activate' the softphone and open automatically? Is there a setting? If I turn my phone off (overnite) then when I turn on the phone do I have to open the Bria app as well. 2- How do I set the caller ID in the app? Right now recipients are only seeing 'out of area' on my phone calls. Looking around, I cant find the setting to adjust caller ID. Also can the caller ID be the company name as well as the ph number? Thanks so much Reply URL 1 Mike Mc. ● 2 years ago 1.) The app does need to be running. It doesn't need to be in the foreground (you don't need to be staring at it all the time), but it does need to be in the background. "Run in Background" is a setting in the Preferences, but it's on by default. If you power off the phone, the app will need to be started when you power

For SIP domain, use a qualified domain name instead of an IP, and don't append any port numbers. You may want to include a screen shot error 403 forbidden of your account settings, and also send a verbose log to us, capturing when this error occurs: https://support.counterpath.com/knowledge-base/article/how-do-i-send-a-log-to-support That will provide us with additional details. Under Settings|Advanced settings|Current Strategy, try setting "STUN Wi-Fi" to "ON". The screen shots you sent are for "Account Advanced", which is not the same. Best Regards.
