You will be presented with "com.apple.appleaccount error 403" which does not tell the laymen anything useful.Cause: IOS 7 reports a "best guess" error instead of detailed error explanation. How To Resolve Error: Find a device that has not been used to create an ICloud account the maximum 3 times and use it to create the ICloud account by logging into the Settings/ICloud tab with the Apple ID you want a ICloud account created for.Keep in mind this will use up one of the three lifetime allowed ICloud account creations allowed by Apple on that device. Also per support: If an existing account is logged into the ICloud service. A. Backup phone using iTunes on a mac/pc. B. At bottome of Settings/ICloud Delete the account "AND" all the user date from the phone. It will offer the Delete all data option. The reason for Deletion(and is why we backed up on a pc vs. the cloud) is when you create the new ICloud account it will backup all of the Device owners information to the wrong persons account.Once you have created the new ICloud account lo

Possible Fix for "forbidden" 403 error on iPhone Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes jgabrielli Guest 2008-07-20, 02:12 PM jgabrielli My OF is working fine for both desktop and iPhone, but we set it up on my wife's computer and iPhone (yes we bought multiple desktop licenses :), and told the phone to get the settings from her MacBook. We had the MacBook sync it's information https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5365062?tstart=0 to her .Mac in Documents (default setting). Then we setup her iPhone, the .Mac settings carried over and almost immediately we received the "forbidden" 403 error on the phone, but no issues or errors with the desktop. I reset the database on the iPhone a number of times but no fix. After looking through the forums and not finding much about iPhone errors like this, I figured I'd try http://forums.omnigroup.com/showthread.php?t=8886 to do this via the webdav settings and type everything in manually. So I popped over to the WebDav settings and typed in the web address, but replaced it with the me.com domain and path to Documents instead of using the .Mac domain. The first sync failed with a 501 error (might be wrong about that number), the second attempt asked for a password, and login, after entering them it connected fine. The only issue we've had is that upon the third sync we had to replace the local copy of the database on the iPhone with the server copy, due to an error with syncing. It's only happened once, but other than that, it seems to be working fine. I wonder if this is an issue with the new changes in the MobileMe service from .Mac. I setup my phone and desktop before MobileMe was released and haven't had any issues whatsoever, it's been working great, even after the transition. Anyway just an FYI for everyone. Authentication Errors like the 401 or 403 mean that the server is rejecting your connection, usually for Registration, but sometimes for calling.Typically these errors are caused by incorrect Account settings, usually username and password. Check these again with your VoIP provider and be sure the account is correctly configured.Sometimes a server controls where a user may connect from - i.e. the local network, but not the Internet. If you can connect in some places but get the Authentication Error in another, this may be the case. Contact your Server Administrator about this.Sometimes these messages are accompanied by additional text explaining the error - if so, ask your VoIP provider or Server Administrator about these errors.
