I installed the mentioned program in the partition D:\ of my PC’s hard disk. User manager for domain is running well, but Unfortunately when I try to add new user the following message is appear “ THE WORKSTATION SERVICE HAS NOT BEEN STARTED “. Meanwhile, I tried many times to run the workstation service https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/10184038/can-not-run-workstation-service.html manually from the control panel, but the following message appear “ COULD NOT START THE WORK STATION SERVICE ON \\MCSE “ + “ ERROR 5728 : COULD NOT LOAD ANY TRANSPORT “. So, how could I solve this problem ??? Please consider the following points : 1 – During the installation I choose the STAND ALONE server option. 2 – The hard disk which Windows NT installed in is under FAT volume . 3 – My PC don’t include a network card ( but fax modem is available ) . 4 – MCSE is the domain name . a used computer (prior owner)and consequently was originally setup just for remoteaccess to an NT Server (domain).I need to add this Laptop to a Peer-to-Peer Workgroupwhere all other computers (6 PC's) are running Win98SE.The problem I need help with didn't exist until I tried(unsuccessfully) to Install a Linksys 10/100 LAN PC-Cardto add the ThinkPad Laptop to the Workgroup.After I Disabled the Remote Wan driver & Uninstalled the"CardWizard" (it didn't work for me) the Linksys LAN Cardwas finally notices by the Laptop.
