I error 720 windows xp have contacted my isp, and the issue apprears to be on my end, not theirs Additionally in my network adapters: you can see the yellow-marked adapters in this screenshot http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/x374/K29000/network_adapters.jpg have errors: Windows cannot load the device driver for http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-networking/dial-up-error-720-solution-for-windows-vista-home/e9f20deb-b363-463c-94eb-4ea5262ef441 this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) I am not sure if that is related to my dial-up problem. They all seem to be duplicates of network adapters that are working fine. (Except they say "eacfilt miniport" at the end) I have tried uninstalling these duplicates which I think are leftovers from some other software that I may have had installed at some point(It says the vendor is Nortel but I no longer have http://www.vistax64.com/network-sharing/295855-dial-up-error-720-network-adapter-issues.html any Nortel software on this machine), but they will not remove. I can still connect to the internet fine via a usb 3G modem that I have borrowed. Although, when I do it gives me a message that "another computer on the network has the same IP address as this one" but after closing the message, the internet still works fine. I have been unable to check whether the ethernet and wifi works correctly. The last time I used them was about a year ago. I'm on Vista Business 32 bit SP3. was recently re-setting up my Windows 7 VPN server and forgot an essential step that led me to get ‘Error 720: A http://www.paulkiddie.com/2011/06/a-fix-for-error-720-a-connection-to-the-remote-computer-could-not-be-established-when-trying-to-connect-to-a-windows-7-vpn/ Connection to the remote computer could not be established' when trying to connect to it with Windows-based clients. Turns out you might need to assign an IP address range to http://chicagotech.net/netforums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16613 the VPN server, by doing the following: 1. Go into Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings 2. Right click on Incoming Connection 3. Click on the Networking tab error 720 and double click on the ‘Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)' checkbox4. Click the ‘Specify IP addresses' and type an IP range that is in line with your current router setup (e.g. if your LAN is on a 192.168.11.x network, then you might want to set it as follows):You should now find, like me, that the VPN works once more!
