Vpn Error 720 Windows 7
I am using Vista Ultimate to connect to a SBS2003 PPTP VPN Server.Other users are able to connect just vpn error 720 a connection to the remote computer fine so I know it isn't the server.I get an error 720 after connecting and the connection is imediately dropped. I have attempted to re-install the the WAN Miniport (IP) vpn error 720 windows 10 and WAN Miniport(PPTP) Interfaces only to wind up doing a system restore because it jacked up all of my networking.I have implicitly told the connection to use PPTP to connect, to no avail.Any thoughts? Every VPN I have created though results in the same error: Error 720: A connection to the remote computer could not be established You might need to change the network settings for this connection The VPN works in Windows 7 and XP. I'm not sure if this has something to do with my new laptop or if its something with Windows 8 itself. Opened Gettng Started Wizard, entered configure just vpn. Then in Routing and Remote access selected Configure and Enable Routing and Remote Access. There selected custom configuration, vpn. Then created user in active directory and allowed network access permission. After this I tried to connect to vpn from windows 8. I get the following error: Error 720: A connection t the remote computer could not be established. You might need vpn error 720 to change the network settings for this connection. Based on the Microsoft support KBs, there seem to be three primary causes. "This behavior can occur if your computer and the RAS server do not have a protocol in common, or if RAS is not configured correctly." "This can occur if TCP/IP is damaged or is not bound to your dial-up adapter." " share|improve this answer answered Mar 8 '13 at 18:43 HopelessN00b 44.3k1797166 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote I don't have a Windows Server 2012 box with RRAS in front of me right now so I can't get you exact screenshots or naming, but you do need to configure Connection Policies and Network Policies that define who is allowed to connect and what they can connect to.
