Connection goes well and when it comes to synchronization it fails with the error "AirSAMStateMachine.c 2214 6 HTTP/1.1 500". I talked to Palm Customer Support and was able to connect http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Palm-and-WebOS/airSAMStateMachine-c-3259-1510-error/td-p/2025002 and sync with their Exchange Server. I even tried "URLScan.exe" utility to configure the server but nothing helped. Can anybody help me out? Solved Palm Treo Versamail - Windows Server 2003 - Active Sync - AirSAMstateMachine error Posted on 2007-09-28 Smartphones Microsoft IIS Web Server Exchange 2 Verified Solutions 7 Comments 3,393 Views Last Modified: 2010-04-29 error airsamstatemachine I have a (Verizon) Palm Treo 700p and I'm having problems getting Versamail to sync with my office's Windows 2003 Server using Exchange Active Sync (Versamail default). I have installed the latest Verizon firmware updates for the Treo that supposedly addressed networking issues (as of 9/27/07), and updated Palm Desktop (v. 4.2) and Versamail (3.5.4) as of 9/28/07. "Test Settings" reports a successful connection, but it will not sync successfully. Our IT guy is error airsamstatemachine c at a loss. When I set the incoming port at 80 (the Versamail default) I got the following error: AirSAMStateMachine.c 2214 6 HTTP/1.1 403 Request Forbidden Server: MicrosoftIIS/5.0 [followed by time, date and locale]. When I set the incoming port at 473 (as suggested by our IT guy) I got a the exact same error message. We tried enabling SSL on the incoming port; this resulted in a different AirSam error message without regard to whether I specified port 80 or 473: AirSAMStateMachine.c 1913 4628. One possibility is that Versamail does not have a place to enter a Domain Name. We tried to force it by putting our domain name followed by a forward slash then my username. 0 Question by:nikdanjor Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 26 Best Solution bysouseran Try Method 2 from this Microsoft article: Exchange ActiveSync and Outlook Mobile Access errors occur when SSL or forms-based authentication is required for Exchange Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/?id=817379 Go to Solution 7 Comments LVL 26 Overall: Level 26 Smartphones 4 Exchange 3 Microsoft IIS Web Server 1 Message Accepted Solution by:souseran2007-09-28 Try Method 2 from this Microsoft article: Exchange ActiveSync and Outlook Mobile Access errors occur when SSL or forms-based authentication is required for Exchange Server 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/?id=817379 0 LVL 1 Overall: Level 1 Message Expert Comment by:dladowitz2007-10-

OWA works. BrianMultilLanguage Reply With Quote 11-28, 12:46 AM #2 Re: E3SP2, and Palm Treo, TX, Versamail Exchange Activesync (EAS) is enabled if you run the CEICW from SBS Management Console. For testing purposes I would disable SSL for EAS and try over port 80. This would confirm that your Certificate is working correctly. -- John Oliver, Jr MCSE, MCT, CCNA Exchange MVP 2008 Microsoft Certified Partner "BrianMultilLanguage"
