Proposed resolution Create a softer failure method for Drupal. Drupal should identify and communicate with the user that the update/upgrade process has failed, providing meaningful feedback not only on the source and nature of the failure, but providing adequate direction on resolving the failure. Iterate over all variables and check each for their consistency. (borrowed from variablecheck module.) Allow for a hotfix through settings.php $conf Throw an exception when encountered inconsistent variable(s). Steps to reproduce drush sql-query "update variable set value='unserialized value' where name='site_name'" drush cc all Visit the site. Exception is thrown. Now hotfix by editing settings.php and uncomment the line with $conf['site_name']. Now site_name is valid again. Visit the site again. Workaround Easy route: install http://drupal.org/project/variablecheck as mentioned in #10 There is some variable from the variables table misformed. Check your database by running the following SQL. However, I’d suggest running the Verify/Rebuild Data utility first to identify any potential data damage issues in QuickBooks.I recently answered a similar question and would like to direct you to that response. Hello miranda,Determining why and what’s causing this error would require reviewing the information that has been entered in QuickBooks. This message happens after doing the Verify/Rebuild. It lets us know were duplicate list elements found after scanning data file.Worry no more; here’s how to resolve it: Re-sort all lists. Close and reopen QuickBooks. Rebuild and verify your data file. If you continue to receive the error, search the QBWIN.log file in your program directory for a list of duplicate elements.To search the QBWIN.log file: With your QuickBooks company file open, press F2 (or Ctrl+1) to display the Product Information window. Press Ctrl+2 to open the Tech Help window. In the Tech Help window, click the Open File tab. Double-click the qbwin.log file. To move to the bottom of the document, press Ctrl+End.
