I am hoping someone here can help me...I have googled with no succcess! I have a heap of files in my gallery that I cannot view, email, upload to facebook etc. All I get when I android error adding image to gallery try to open them is a message on the screen that says "error displaying media" They are photos that I have taken on thcamera on this phone but the strange thing is that not every photo is displaying this message - only some of them I have no idea what would be making them do this and I have absolutely no idea how to retrieve these images and prevent it from happening again I am not good on the techno speak so layman language would be great! Posts 4,697 Liked 423 times If you go into the File Manager application, choose internal or external sd card (whichever you may have saved the photos too from camera), then choose dcim>camera. Can you see all the photos in there that you see in the gallery? If not they may have been deleted somehow. If so, then we can troubleshoot further. If I take a photo, from time to time (more than just once) I get an "Error displaying media" and no photo appears (even though it appears to complete the photo.) Not sure if this is a timing issue or if there are issues with the camera or some app causing the problem.
