This program did not come with an uninstaller, so I went to Control Panel under Uninstall a Program and attempted to remove it by this method. This will disable the program, but not totally remove it, thus making the download http://mvohio.net/index.php?topic=8237.0 of another anti-virus impossible. I have rebooted and tried doing the Uninstall once again, only to get the following message "Please wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or being changed." I'm lost, any suggestions. Logged I'd rather slam my nose in a car door. I'd rather have a proctologist named Dr. Hook. But anyway, I decided to try out the CA Personal Firewall and have now decided to uninstall it. But everytime I try http://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/uninstalling-cas-firewall-error-e9011-help-please.168296/ to uninstall I get an Error E9011 message that says: "Error E9011: You do not have http://uninstall.ca.firewall.error.9039.winwizards.org/ sufficient privileges to install or uninstall CA Personal Firewall. Unable to update registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.efw Try logging on as Administrator." Well I am the admin of this computer. Plus I tried to have the CA PF not load with windows at start-up unchecked yet it does anyway. The "load CA Personal Firewall when windows starts up" is unchecked as I am looking at it error e9039 right now. Have rebooted several times, yet it still loads everytime. I have checked around the internet and this issue of uninstalling CAPF does not look promising at all. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. acr1965, Mar 12, 2007 #1 stapp Global Moderator Joined: Jan 12, 2006 Posts: 6,998 Location: England Have you tried uninstalling in safe mode? stapp, Mar 12, 2007 #2 acr1965 Registered Member Joined: Oct 12, 2006 Posts: 4,951 Well I got an email from error e9039 ca CA and followed their directions.
