MacTechTrainer is online now I cannot print from my computer, although all other functions Customer Question I cannot print from my computer, although all other functions of computer, and copy and fax functions of printer, work fine.On my iMac (model A1224) running OSX v. 10.6.2 my Officejet 5510 was printing, copying & faxing OK. For firsttime in months I tried to scan a document into computer. Did not work. I re-installed printer from Mac CD that came with printer (did NOT uninstall beforehand) . Scan worked fine (then - see below) as did copy & fax functions. However cannot print from computer - documents, e-mails, web pages. However, I ran a test page from computer - OK! Presume this implies units connected and cable working.Have gotten various error messages on "Print Queue":"Error""Error: Printer offline""Error: Fatal: Opening printer connection failed. Please check your printer connections and check for errors "And sometimes a small yellow dot appears on the lower left of the HP icon. What's that mean?I have turned power off to computer, to printer, unplugged USB cable, waited, re-powered.USB cable (untouched for months) is well plugged at both ends. I un-installed all HP items from computer per HP site, re-installed from CD, installed downloaded driver 5500_790_en. At Apple icon / Preferences / Printer: "Officejet 5500 Idle" and "Default"Nothing helps. And now, after the second CD install & the download, the scan doesn't work! After a long wait the scan window appears, nothing shows in the big window where sample of scan would appear, a new window appears: "An error occurred when atempting to open the file", then on new "Problem Report" window: "HP Scan quit unexpectedly".
