Hello Kelly, my name is Dan.The first thing I suggest is a restart and reset of the PRAM.Do this by restarting and holding down the Option, Command, R, P keys and waiting for 4 startup chimes. This resets all of the system buses and may clear up this problem. If http://www.justanswer.com/mac-computers/3b2ba-hi-there-trying-import-video-footage-imovie.html not let me know and we'll try some other things.
