Reason This error is due to over translation. The Assembly Version found in the Version resource of the .NET assembly should not be translated/modified. See the example below in which the Version resource of GoogleMT.dll assembly has been pseudo translated and the error is reported on extraction. Solution Revert the translation and lock string so it cannot be translated by mistake. To revert a string or group of strings: Select the string or group of strings (using the shift or CTRL key) Right mouse click Select Revert > Revert text Notes .NET compilation errors: https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/9217960c-0588-4663-a98e-ca7e1f4319c0/alink-error-al1047-error-importing-file?forum=msbuild Error Description al1001 Internal compiler error Try to determine whether Al.exe is failing because of its inability to parse unexpected syntax. Live Demo Pricing Support Blog Documentation Satellite Assembly Utility reports error AL1047 (cannot find file) BrianEnsink 11 years ago I ran into aproblem http://arhelp.grapecity.com/groups/topic/satellite-assembly-utility-reports-error-al1047-cannot-find-file/ with the Satellite Assembly Utility but I also found the cause or at least aworkaround. (I have the evaluation versioninstalled: ARN2 4101127) I followed the ‘Localizing the ActiveReports Viewer Control' walkthough but was unable to build the satellite DLL. I got the following error: ALINK: error AL1047: Error importing file error importing ‘c:\Dev\R&D\LibraryEval\ActiveReports\Localization1\bin\Debug\zh-CHT\.FindDialog.zh-CHT.zh-CHS.resources' -- The system cannot find the file specified. A quick search of the forums turns up an old thread which mentions the problem but does not have a fix. http://www.datadynamics.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=40249 It turns out that I have a single space after the namespace name in the Satellite Assembly Utility's Edit Resource dialog error importing file box. The namespace was "DataDynamics.ActiveReports.Viewer[space]" instead of just "DataDynamics.ActiveReports.Viewer". Deleting the space and building again fixes the problem. And adding the space back in causes the problem. - Brian # Viewing 1 post (of 1 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
