HP ProLiant ML110 G6 server which did not boot successfully. Upon booting the 02a2 bmc system error log (sel) full boot would halt with the following error message: 02A2: BMC System

Error Log (SEL) Full. The fix for this problem was to go into the BIOS by bmc system error log sel full ml110 hitting F10 and setting Clear System Event Logs to Enabled in the BIOS. This can be found under IPMI on the Advanced Tab. Navigate to System Event bmc system error log sel full hp ml110 g6 Log And setting the Clear System Event Log to Enabled. This will ensure the event log is cleared on next boot. As you see there are no remaining event logs in our BIOS flash memory hence why the error is occurring. Upon reboot the system will automatically set Clear System Event Log back

Betroffene Hardware Supermicro Systeme mit installiertem IPMI Remote Managementmodul (hier z.B. ein 2HE Intel Dual-CPU SC823 Server mit X7DBE Mainboard) Lösung Um die Fehlermeldung zu unterbinden und wieder Platz für neue Einträge im SEL zu schaffen muss der Inhalt des SEL gelöscht werden. Dieser kann auf folgende Arten gelöscht werden: unter Linux per ipmitool Kommando https://www.thomas-krenn.com/de/wiki/BMC_System_Error_Log_(SEL)_Full_bei_Supermicro_Server im BIOS des Servers SEL leeren unter Linux Dies kann z.B. unter Linux mit dem ipmitool durchgeführt werden. Zuvor kann man den Inhalt des SEL ansehen und anschließend in eine Datei schreiben, um die alten Log-Information zu erhalten: [root@testserver ~]# ipmitool sel list | less [root@testserver ~]# ipmitool sel list > /root/sel-list.txt [root@testserver ~]# ipmitool sel elist > /root/sel-elist.txt [root@testserver ~]# ipmitool sel clear Clearing SEL. Reparación de computadoras » error al arrancar servidor error al arrancar servidor 23/8/2008 01:01PM Hola a todos, tengo un servidor HP Proliant DL140, en el cual tiene instalado el server 2003 y el windows xp, este último es el que utilizo, pero de un tiempo para aca, al arrancar me sale este mensaje: Event Log messages, enter Setup to view Server Asset Text :No Asset Tag ERROR 02A2: BMC System Error Log (SEL) Full. I pressed F1 to resume and it will then boot. Alguien me puede decir porque este mensaje, si le doy a F1, sigue el arranque y funciona bien después, pero quisiera quitar ese mensaje y saber porque me sale, gracias marcosoy 1 Esta pregunta está cerrada.
