Cpanel Domain Error Logs
install new Discussion in 'Security' started by davendsn, Jan 16, 2011. davendsn Registered Joined: Jan 16, 2011 Messages: 1 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 1 I've taken over as the web manager for a site that was already set up with a previous SSL that has now expired. I've purchased a new one for the client, however, I can't seem to delete the old one from the current server, neither in WHM or cpanel mail logs cPanel. In WHM under the SSL Key/Crt Manager, I keep getting the error: ERROR: File is still referenced in Apache: www.domain.com.crt when I try to delete it. And it just won't even delete from the SSL/TLS Manager in cPanel. How can I get rid of this old SSL so I can generate the CSR and install the new one. If it helps, both were purchased through GoDaddy, but through different accounts. Also, if it's not something that can be done through the WHM or cPanel interface, I'll be completely lost (unless I can go into an specific file and edit it that way. I'm just not command-line savvy. FYI). I wouldn't suggest removing the existing one until a new one has been created actually. As such, you could generate a new CSR in WHM > SSL/TLS > Generate a SSL Certificate and Signing Request area. Please ensure to save a copy of the RSA key that is sent for the CSR generation,

After that you can re-install the new SSL again. If you continue to face this problem, please open a ticket in support so that we can check this in detail. And that has implications for your site cpanel ssl error and whether it uses an HTTP or HTTPS protocol. For now, it's only a very lightweight signal affecting fewer than 1 percent of global search queries, and carrying less weight than other signals (such as high-quality content) in order to give website owners time to switch to HTTPS. In this article, we will take a look at the meaning and difference between SSL and HTTPS, how to install and activate an SSL certificate and how to move WordPress from using the insecure HTTP communications protocol to HTTPS. SSL vs HTTPS SSL, Secure Sockets Layer, is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral in order to prevent eavesdropping and tampering. HTTPS on the hand is a URI scheme which has identical syntax to the standard HTTP scheme, aside from its scheme token. However, HTTPS signals the browser to use an added encryption layer of SSL to p
