Also, you can try submitting the job once again. Can you also post the steps you took to submit the job through EM? Check whether your OS user has privileges to logon as a batch job. This is a case on windows environment. administrative tools->local security policy->local policies->user rights assignment->log on as a batch job. Check whether your OS user is added here.

ORA-29280: invalid directory path tips Oracle Error Tips by Stephanie F. The Oracle docs note this on the ora-29280 error: ORA-29280: invalid directory path Cause: A corresponding directory object does not exist. Action: Correct the directory object parameter, or create a corresponding directory object with the CREATE DIRECTORY command. This error is common when a fully-qualified path name cannot be determined, and the most common cause of the ORA-29280 error is a missing directory declaration. The utl_file_fcopy procedure accepts these arguments (location, filename, dest_dir, dest_file, start_line, end_line). create directory alert_dir as '/u01/app/oracle/mysid/pfile'; create directory tempdir as '/tmp'; utl_file.fcopy( src_location => 'alert_dir', src_filename => 'alert_log', dest_location => 'tempdir', dest_filename => 'alert_keep', start_line => 1, end_line => 50 ); On Oracle FAQ's Forums, a user was confronted by ORA-29280 when attempting to generate a .txt-file. The path had been dropped and Declared several times, but ORA-29280 continued to be thrown. Two replies were offered to resolve ORA-29280: Be sure that the OS level user has permission to write to a folder Try upper case letters for the directory name i.e. instead of out_dir use OUT_DIR The latter of the two successfully resolved ORA-29280 for the user.BEGIN UTL_FILE.FCOPY('C', 'test.sql' , 'C', 'test2.sql', 1, 6); END; / Burleson is the American Team Note: This Oracle documentation was created as a support and Oracle training reference for use by our DBA performance tuning consulting professionals.
