Please make sure you have sufficent disk space for the animation, and that the file is not open in another application". This happens in a 10 seconds animation ofr of whater, wind, waves and foam, with a resoulution of 640x426, for a total of 241 frames. My OS is vista home premium 32 bits, the laptop an HP Pavillion TX 1125 with an AMD Turion 64 x2 (2 cores, according to Vue). I have around 100 Gb of free disk space and nothing is using the file, as I didn't opt, in the format options, to change the compression. I also restarted the system 3 times and the same happens again and again. Moreover, this is the second whater animation file I'm trying to render, as is in the first one the same happened. The more striking feature lays in the ability to produce a preview but not to render the animation. Could anyone help me with this, please? Sometimes you are missing a codec and Vue can't render to that format and will put out this error. The error that Vue is giving you is not Vue's fault; it's reporting a Windows error. It is unable to write the file for some reason, and the error code it gets from Windows is a "disk full" message... so it throws up the "no available space" error. Sometimes Windows can be fooled by deep file structure with long file names. Try putting the render folder

I've just finished making my video for a class and now every time I select render animation: it render frame one and two, nothing changes, and then says it's on frame thirty-five and continues to do nothing. Also at the top of the screen it will then say "Error Writing Frame". Can any one help me? Sincerely, BlenderArmature 18-Jan-12,17:09 #2 Atom View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Member Join Date Jan 2006 Location Ohio Posts 11,632 If you are in a school type environment you may be experiencing a permissions issue. Try making sure that you render images to your documents area or desktop, not the default C:\tmp that might be locked down. I rarely use Blender anymore. Then rendered out in a different format. If I recall the problem was with h264 via mpeg.
