The software got installed and the server rebooted for the finishing steps of the installation. (SRP, database connection etc.) When configuring the installer to use the initial configuration database, the following error message is given when the installer tries to install the services at the end of the installation:

We're currently installing BES 5.0. During the install we get an error during https://bartvdw.wordpress.com/2011/06/11/blackberry-enterprise-server-express-5-x-preparation-guide/ the LDAP setting portion that says "error writing to database". After researching this online I've changed the password to something with supported characters, but this hasn't helped. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Stupid, but its real.
