Fatal Error Lnk1201 Error Writing To Program Database
and some are failing with a strange error message: "Error writing to database / Error reading from database". I have attached a screenshot. The error occurs after pressing "Continue" on the "2. Destination" step (where you select the Course Category). I'm aware that User Data doesn't restore when making this jump between these writing a database from scratch versions but we are okay with that. I exported the courses from 1.9.18+ with User Data = None. I've set the Debug Messages (debug) setting to both NORMAL and ALL but no debug information is appearing on screen. I have also confirmed that the "Display debug messages" (debugdisplay) setting is set to Yes. The courses are around the 55Mb mark but I've allowed up to 128Mb upload size and the actual upload step works without a problem. I can also uploaded the zip to the "User private backup area" first but restoring from there didn't help either. I have also cleared out the moodledata/temp/backup folder and this didn't help. Can anyone point me on how I can identify the course of the error message. The smaller ones maybe? Hav

We are happy to help, but will need some more information. When/where are you getting this error? During installation? If so, how are you installing Moodle? Are you installing Moodle from Softaculous, or doing a manual Moodle installation? If you are manually installing Moodle, I recommend checking to make sure you created the database correctly, and the database user was setup and given permission to access the database. If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below. Thank you, -John-Paul You must login before you can post a comment about this answer. Like this Question? Please detail the system that you are using: VPL, Moodle, OS, DB, etc. and any installation detail to keep in mind. You also can set your Moodle in debug mode to get more details of the error. Beware to send the error messages to the log file, not to the HTML error writing to page. Moodle 2.0 is much strict with data types, so I was expecting that some params may have not been tested. I will try to replicate it locally when I can. What mappings did you define?
