Error Writing Multi Session Info File
burning data CDs. Discussion in 'Computers & Technology' started by tabs, Sep 23, 2004. tabs Southern California Sep 23, 2004 #1 Maybe you guys can help me out here. Lately, whenever I try to burn a data CD (in this case, images) I get this message: Error writing multisession info file. Everything else works fine, I tried burning an audio CD a few minutes ago and it worked fine. I'm using Nero. Any ideas? skip0110 Worcester, MA PSN:skip0110 Sep 23, 2004 #2 Choose to close the CD. If you close the CD, the multisession info is not written, but you wil not be able to burn any more data to that CD. Does Nero have a "test" option? This puts the CD writer head through the motions of burning w/out turning on the laser. This is good for checking if something works without burning a coaster in the process. tabs Southern California Sep 24, 2004 #3 No, the program never starts to burn or at least I don't think it does. The CD is still good after I get that message. IÅman Staff Emeritus Wisconsin, USA Sep 24, 2004 #4 Try using the regular windows burning tool. If I've had problems with burning a CD, I've always used it, and it always works fine for me. cardude2004 Sep 25, 2004 #5 I have windows XP and today I went to burn a CD in windows with the built in one and it wouldn't work. When I select the drive and right click and choose properties to choose the recording tab and there isn't one. It won't let me choose my recording speed or anything. Other programs won't let me burn either. I don't know what to do. How can I reinstall the drive or something so I can get this feature back in Window's XP and so I can burn CD's. It is a Pioneer DVD RW. To be exact it is a Pioneer DVR 104 or DVR A04. It came with our computer. The computer is a Sony PCV-RX670. So far Sony hasn't helped me. They just told me to uninstall the drive from the

for several months now until recently I start to experience some weird problems with my Liteon 48X CDRW drive (fairly new, only purchased for 2 months)... First I use a CDRW disc to burn something and erased it (I don't ususally use http://www.verycomputer.com/11_3a4f66566b1685f9_1.htm CDRW discs though), and then I purchase some e-Blue CDR discs (green color) which I have never used this type of CDR media before (I had used e-Blue's "blue" CDR discs and it works fine).. Anyway, I start to http://www.uj.zoldiroda.hu/transmission/Nero%20Burning%20Rom%20v16.0.24.0%20Portable%20HUN/App/Nero/Nero%20Burning%20ROM/Nero_en-US.xml get this error message when I start to burn CDR with Nero: "Error writing multisession into file!" Originally I thought that it is because of the CDR media that might not be compatible with my CDR drive (unlikely though), anyway error writing I went back to the shop and asked them to exchange another type of CDR discs for me (blue color of e-Blue CDR discs)... and then I'm still getting the same error message at the initial stage of the burning process...
