I've updated to the new service package, I've repaired, deleted, and reinstalled the program numerous times. I'm out of options that I know of. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Studio 2010 - Error writing the project file. Class notregistered Posted on April 19, 2010 by jamesdmccaffrey This weekend I installed the new Visual Studio 2010 on several different machines. I use multiple OS platforms for the articles I write for MSDN Magazine so it’s useful to have Visual Studio installed on machines with different configurations. I had no problems installing on Windows 7 and Windows Vista, but hit a snag on Windows Server 2003 (SP2). After installing Visual Studio 2010, VS launched fine but when I attempted https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/c99ecf29-678d-490a-9394-c159f127d955/error-writing-the-project-file-class-not-registered?forum=Vsexpressinstall to create a project, I got the not-so-helpful error message “Error writing the project file. Class not registered”. OK. I noticed that when I launched VS for the first time I did not get the option to select a settings configuration, such as General Development Settings or Web Development, like I did with the installs on other machines. In the https://jamesmccaffrey.wordpress.com/2010/04/19/installing-visual-studio-2010-error-writing-the-project-file-class-not-registered/ VS 2010 UI, when I went to Tools | Import and Export Settings, the UI dialog had an empty list box where I expected to see a list of files with a .vssettings extension. After searching the Internet for this error message I came across several possible causes. Well to cut to the chase, it turns out that the machine I had installed onto did not have the required MSXML6 parser. A VS settings file is XML-based and evidently needs MSXML6 rather than earlier versions of the parser. A quick install of that component from Microsoft.com/downloads solved the problem. [Solved] DVD Engine Error: 0x80040154 (Class not registered) DanielBXL View Member Profile Nov 7 2010, 11:37 AM Post #1 Newbie Group: Members Posts: 4 Joined: 28-May 10 Member No.: 8,783,848 Hi all,one week ago I created a photo DVD which I burned successfully to a Verbatim Lightscribe DVD. One week later I want to burn the project again as I gave away the DVD and as soon as the DVD drive starts to burn the project I get the error message from the DVD Engine. I tried several times to burn the project again (even recreating it from scratch) but I always got the same error message. I installed all available updates for Nero Vision but the error message is still there (error5.txt is the error log after the installation of the latest updates).I would appreciate if you could help me out on that one... .Regards,Daniel Attached File(s) error2.txt ( 235.77K ) Number of downloads: 274 error3.txt ( 201.93K ) Number of downloads: 215 error4.txt ( 294.64K ) Number of downloads: 187 error5.txt ( 221.47K ) Number of downloads: 222 wither View Member Profile Nov 7 2010, 06:16 PM Post #2 Advanced Member Group: Members Posts: 21,667 Joined: 30-August 08 Member No.: 8,132,427 There is one type of problem in error txt files 2 and 3 and a different one in 4 and 5. The one in the last two indicates the system can't write to the device. Is it possible that you changed the brand of discs or used a different batch? If you run Nero Disc Speed using one of these discs, do you encounter any problems?
