My query is when more that one store will access the same Head office database through Remote Terminal services / Citrix and NOT in LAN how LSretail .INI file is being updated. I have tried to access one Head Office Database with two clients ( assuming they are two stores) for the first time sysem allows to enter POS transaction with different Store Local setup but second time as it changes the LSretail.INI file its not allowing me to enter POS transactions saying you need to change local setup or this staff is not for this store. Thanks in advance Rishi 0 Comments ara3n Member Posts: 9,154 2008-04-25 Hello. The setup.ini is stored in C drive if I remmember correctly, you need to change the code to store it in C:\Document Settings\%User ID%\ Rashed. blog: http://mibuso.com/blogs/ara3n/0 jean1177 Member Posts: 1 2008-05-25 LSRETAIL.INI is located in C:\WINDOWS\LSRETAIL.INI This file will keep the information as below [CRONUS LS4.2 W1 DEMODATA] Store=S0001 Terminal=P0001 Slip=1760 Date=22/05/99 Time=15:18:40 [CRONUS LS4.2 W1 DEMODATA] Store=S0002 Terminal=P0005 Slip=1760 Date=22/05/99 Time=15:18:40 In your case, I recommend you to specify each Retail Users belong to which store no. So that when user log on the system, it will know exactly what store's being used. You can set up at LS Retail-Back Office -> Setup -> Retail Users. Please try this solution. 0 Sign In or Register to comment.

Each and everytime try to close the application is giving me this error 'Unable to write to application file.ini' here is my code for closing procedure TfrmMain.FormClose(Sender: TObject; var http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11222132/what-causes-this-error-unable-to-write-to-application-file-ini Action: TCloseAction); begin frmMain.close; end; delphi delphi-xe2 share|improve this question edited Jun 27 '12 at 12:55 TLama 53.5k14102169 asked Jun 27 '12 at 8:24 user1484977 112 4 This code is wrong, BTW. Remove frmMain, and just use Close. Adding frmMain ties it to a single instance of the form instead of working on any instance. If you must qualify it for some reason, use Self instead of a specific variable name. –Ken White Jun 27 '12 at 12:46 1 Its wrong to call Close() from inside the OnClose event handler at all, as Close() is already running so this creates an endlesss recursive loop. –Remy Lebeau Jun 27 '12 at 21:09 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 9 down vote This error is usually caused by trying to write to your app's own folder under Program Files, which is not allowed for a non-Administrator under Vista and higher (and XP, if you're not running as an Administrator or Power User). Here's some code for getting the proper folder for your .INI file: uses Windows, ShlObj; // For SHGetSpecialFolderPath function GetFolderLocation(Handle:
