You won't have any of your paid-for-DLC but the main game is very playable. Been playing it maxed out and using an Xbox360/PC gamepad. Very nice experience since the last time I played it because back then I couldn't play it maxed out and now I can and the graphics are really good. Hope this helps someone having issues. I know I wasn't able to get past the GFWL nonsense without this and sometimes I had a black screen with a yellow cursor. This brought the game right up. It starts off at a lower resolution so go into settings at the place where you choose your male/female hero and adjust your game settings to your liking. I'm using Windows 10 Pro but this should work for Windows 8 and 8.1 just the same. I've never exactly seen this happen before. But while running this game, my PC will just randomly cut all power fable 3 and turn off. The game runs properly and flawlessly otherwise (Fable III starts up with a "Improper shut down detect - if this persists please check the readme." The support webpage I found for it said the error was from video resolution but the video resolution works fine. I don't know how to view the readme via steam.) but between 1 and 2 hours in, the entire pc fable 3 black will shut off. It's no set area or event that makes this occur, it's entirely random. I'd normally always assume this to be a hardware problem but.. not a single one of my other games has ever done this.Is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix this? Thanks!User Info: bcarlbcarl 5 years ago#2The errors should have more documentation in the Win7 Action Center under Maintenance, Check for Solutions to Unreported Problems, and click the 'View Problems to Report' link . The Action Center is in Control Panel. ---User Info: provettprovett 5 years ago#3Does your CPU fan run hot? I don't know about this game specifically... but if you CPU reachs a certain heat level, the computer will shutdown.Best Buy sucks so bad, I have to Sig it!The customer service were stupid & they lied. Don't Buy from Best BuyUser Info: jedinatjedinat 5 years ago#4^ It might also be the GPU... User Info: provettprovett 5 years ago#5That's a possibility, but I've never had my gpu shutdown the computer, only crashing the game or possibly go into a GSOD, which almost amount to the same thing... almost.Best Buy sucks so bad, I have to Sig it!The customer service were stupid & th

Gardas New Member Posts: 5 Likes: 0 Trophies: 2 I bought Fable III on steam near the middle of June. It worked perfectly 1 time I played the tutorial through, watched the opening sequence and all of that. But as soon as I progressed beyond the basic tutorial my game crashed, I have not been able to get it to work at all even to play the tutorial again. I do not even see the opening scene all that I get is a load screen and crash. Is there anyway I can fix this or did I blow 45 bucks that I can't use until I get a new PC?
