Guest I had this problem that has been describe throughtout this thread. First let me say that it got off subject the problem is and always was that the fax server would not route through the email. Not and I repeat not a problem with being able to select and item in the fax console and email it we all agree that does not work due to a usual Microsoft problem. The issue of no being to route a fax automaticaly through the exchange server just tends https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc736133(v=ws.10).aspx to occur with no reason. I installed exchange sp1 months ago and then suddenly the fax to email option started reporting errors. After trying all the easy fixes unistalling reinstall, checking dll's and on I finally spent some time looking at the problem. If you go to the exchange server log and look and the smtp logs you will notice that indeed the server http://www.winvistatips.com/threads/fax-server-error-32089-or-32083-routing-error.603736/ is receiving the email but it is being rejected and I have a feeling that it has something to do with the blacklists and inteligent conection filter that was installed with sp1. So what you need to do is simple. 1.Click and Open Exchange System Manager 2.Click Global Setting 3.Right Click Message Deliver and select properties 4.Click on Connection Filtering Tab 5.Click on the accept button 6.Click on the add button 7.(add the ip address of you local nic) not the loopback address. 8.Close it all up and your done. 9.Fix all the other stuff you changed trying to make it work Hope this works for everyone. erehwon, Dec 15, 2004 #1 Advertisements Show Ignored Content Want to reply to this thread or ask your own question?
