Brad is online now My faxes did not go through because of a communication error. This answer was rated: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My faxes did not go through because of a communication error. I disabled call waiting. Please advise. One fax went ok. Share this conversation Expert: Brad replied4 years ago. Brad : Did you disable call waiting EVERY time? Call waiting resets each time you hang up the phoneBrad : Did the fax machine print out an error code? If so what was it?Customer: I disabled this way: phone hooked up, dialed the code (*70), then pulled the plug and plugged it into the printer, then dialed the 1866 number. Also tried dialing *70 before the 1866 number all from the printer pad.Customer: Error codes were usually 350 (A communication error occurred during the fax transmission. If you're sending, try again and/or call to make sure the recipient's fax machine is ready to receive faxes. if you're receiving...(n/a).Customer: One error code was "power failure" on a 27 page set of pages. Is there a limit to what my HP can send at one time? I think the feeder can handle 30 pages max.Customer: I sent some/attempted some by just dialing and feeding, also by scanning & sending, using the computer HP Solutions. (First fax went ok both ways, one other went 3 pages only.) I do think the reactivation of call waiting was a factor.Customer: I'm about to go out and use a kinko's fax but would still like to get mine to work better.
