using the AVR ISP2 programmer and have verified that it is plugged into a USB port in my computers device manager however unlike the picture in the tutorial it is not classified under Ports(Com & Lpt) but under Jungo->AVRISP mkII, I dont know if that means anythingI have been unable to get anywhere with the Setup interfaceAny help would be greatly appreciated Logged rgcustodio Robot Overlord Posts: 217 Helpful? 0 Use "Search" and ye might find ponyprog device not responding answers! Re: $50 robot PonyProg Problem: communication port not available(-16) « Reply #1 on: June 03, 2007, 09:42:38 PM » If you have the AVR ISP2 you can use the s/w that came with it (AVR Studio4) to write the hex file to your robot. If you are going to use AVR Studio the current drivers (Jungo) will be replaced.I currently have the ISP2 and have used it using avrdude with the Jungo drivers haven't tried ponyprog though. You should probabily check the Interface Calibation from the Setup? menu. and then try Serial> SI Prog API / SI Prog I/O / JDM API. For me worked JDM API ; so I think you should do this first (if you hadn't done so) and if you don't know what to choose, just try them each. I had some problems myself.Good luck! But I have a strange problem - when I try to write program to MC with PonyProg through LTP ISP cable I get error "Communication port not available (-16)". I guess it has something to do with blocked direct access to LTP port in WinXP, but how to work it out? And BTW, when I enter interface setup I cannot select which one LPT port to use.
